We had the opportunity to visit Grand Rapids Michigan and truly loved our time in the city. Today we are sharing our Grand Rapids Michigan Travel Tips!

 

Grand Rapids Michigan Travel Tips!

Come hungry there are so many great restaurants in Grand Rapids!

Bring quarters for the meter

Depending on the time of year there are walkways connecting hotels and attractions.  Great way to see the city in the winter

Relaxed casual city.

Great breweries and restaurants include:
~Harmony brewing company
~Brewery vivant
~Greenwell and Winchester
~Electric cheetah
~Sanchez tapas bistro
~Stella stuffed burgers

There are so many amazing breweries in Grand Rapids they are now called Beer City USA! Check out our post on having a beercation in Grand Rapids!

 

If you are interested in taking a fun cooking class the Local Epicurean offers pasta-making classes. We took a ravioli class and it was a lot of fun. We learned how to make ravioli from scratch and were able to take the ravioli with us.

 

Robinette Cellars offers wine tasting, a u-pick fruit farm, and has an amazing bakery. The farm is located near the sculpture gardens. You can easily stop in for wine tasting or a snack en route or after you leave the sculpture gardens.

 

The Frederik Meijer Gardens is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon wandering among amazing sculptures.

    Wow, there are so many good restaurants to try. The hotel room looks cozy and it's nice that you can have a great view of the city. I like visiting a place like this where the environment is just casual and not too fast-paced.

    Love it. I have been once but I was young and I don't remember a lot but I did love the lake. I want to go back soon and take my kids and really explore

    For sure one of the destinations that is on out travel list. I wonder how cold it gets on the winter because winter break is coming, but maybe we just wait until next year. Love the horse sculpture and off course will follow your advise to travel hungry, because we love to eat yummy food.

    I had no idea all the amazing things MIchigan had to offer - Grand Rapids specifically. I love the waterways between buildings. It looks so peaceful. I think taking a cooking class would be an awesome memory to make. I will definitely be adding Grand Rapids to my list of Cities to Visit for sure.

    You had me at "COME HUNGRY" - that's how I roll! LOL I love my EATS!!!!

    and I am totally going to hit up The Frederik Meijer Gardens! I love photos with statues or mascots! 🙂

    The room looks really nice and the view is fantastic. I have always wanted to visit the Grand Rapids Michigan. I will definitely put this in our top list when I plan our next family vacation.

    A room with a view over the city sounds awesome! My hubby and I just got back from a staycation, but maybe we should add Grand Rapids to our must-see list!

    That horse statue is too cool! I have never been to Grand Rapids, but it looks like it is worth a stop!
