I have made this a few times over the past month as John and our neighbor keep requesting it. I love that this recipe is so easy to make and turns out amazing each time.

All you need for this recipe is most likely already in your pantry! No trips to the store needed to whip up this delicious Brown Sugar Bacon!

    Ingredients

    • Brown sugar
    • Chili powder
    • Thick cut bacon

    Equipment needed

Cookie Sheet with an edge - You want to make sure you use a cookie sheet that can keep the oil contained in the cookie sheet. You also want one that has a side tall enough that you can easily remove it from the oven and not spill bacon grease all over the place.

Aluminum foil - this will help make clean up so much easier.

Roasting Rack - I like to rest the bacon on the roasting rack so it gets heat on both sides and gets crispy!

Heat resistant potholdersย - A couple of years ago we had a fire scare when we didn't realize we had turned a burner on and a cloth potholder caught fire. Thankfully we walked by the kitchen and saw the smoke and were able to get it out ourselves. Since then we have only used these heat-resistant potholders.

Yum. Bacon. Sounds good. I like to bake my bacon in the oven like that. Less greasy and I don't get popped.

The bacon looks so good and crispy! I think the sugar and the spices can add a new kick to the bacon! Would love this for a BLT sandwich!
