Castello di Amorosa Winery Napa Castle Winery

Published: Jun 30, 2014 · Updated: Dec 30, 2022 by Tammilee · This post may contain affiliate links

Castello di Amorosa Winery Napa Castle Winery is pretty much a must-visit during any trip to Napa, California!

The Castle Winery is awe-inspiring from the moment you pull into the parking area. The castle looms over the vineyards and transports you to another time and place.

Castello di Amorosa Winery - Napa Castle Winery

As we were approaching the main entrance we were greeted by a peacock and ducks.

There is so much to see at the Castello di Amorosa Winery Napa Castle Winery that you want to make sure and give yourself more than enough time to tour the property and enjoy the wine tasting.

We arrived at the Castello di Amorosa Winery Napa Castle Winery at the end of the day and were only able to take the self-guided tour. I can't wait to go back again and take the full tour that leads you into the dungeons and other deep dark secret places in the castle 🙂

The self-guided tour was a lot of fun. We were able to wander the castle at our leisure.

Another tip ~ Be prepared to take a ton of photos! The Castello di Amorosa Winery Napa Castle Winery is gorgeous and the details that are in the designs are phenomenal!

Everywhere you look there is a piece of art, amazing structure, or view over the vineyards that take your breath away.

How cool would it be to attend a feast in the dining area!

There are 107 unique rooms at the Napa Castle Winery! 8,000 tons of hand squared stones, 8 levels of which 4 are below ground, 900 feet of caves, the great hall pictured above which was hand-painted, a drawbridge, moat, dungeon, and torture chamber are all at the Castello di Amorosa Winery!

The wine tasting area is downstairs along with a huge gift store.

The store has everything you can imagine for a winery and so much more. I found fantastic cookbooks, garden items, glassware, and of course WINE!

Make sure and try LA FANTASIA (The Fantasy) during your visit! Our guide called it the baby maker which well you can decide how you feel about that.

What I can tell you is this wine is crazy good! I thought about buying cases of this wine and shipping it to Spokane during our visit.

One thing to know is you can only find Castello di Amorosa Wine on-site or on their website. They do not distribute their wine off-site!

There is even a trusty armed guard to make sure you are safe.
