CrockPot Cranberry Barbecue Meatballs

John kept telling me he wasn't excited for these meatballs. He was worried the cranberry flavor would be overpowering and he wouldn't like them. When I started making them he gave me the look. You know the one that says I am going to try these but not because I am happy only because you are making them.....

I am happy to say his grumpy look disappeared when he tried them. He grumbled that they were actually really good and went back for more. Woohoo score 1 for me!  Who would have thought cranberry barbecue meatballs would make my husband admit he was wrong about a recipe.

Ingredients needed for Cranberry Barbecue Meatballs

  • Frozen meatballs
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Barbecue sauce

Equipment Needed

Crockpot - We suggest using a crockpot that has a digital timer that automatically switches the slow cooker to warm after a set amount of time. This helps make sure your meatballs cooks perfectly and you don't have to stress about what time it is going to be done.

Serving Spoon

Serving bowl or toothpicks - These cranberry barbecue meatballs can be served directly from the slow cooker or dished out onto a serving platter. We like serving them from the slow cooker so they stay warm for the entire event.

          Becky,

I am making these now. I doubled the recipe and used a 4 lb. bag of meatballs. It looks good. So a single recipe likely uses a 2 lb bag.

These look really good for sure. Thank you for sharing this idea with us. My kids LOVE meatballs cooked in the slow cooker with grape jelly and BBQ sauce, so my guess is they would enjoy this too.
