I am so excited to share with you this ridiculously cute, oh my goodness I love it so much, Yellow KitchenAid Mini Mixer! Eek! Seriously how cute is this KitchenAid! I was so excited to dive into the kitchen and start baking as soon as I could. I figured this Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe was the perfect first recipe to try.
I should probably admit that this is my third KitchenAid mixer and I love all of them. I remember coveting a KitchenAid for so long before I finally got my first one, a hand me down from my mom. My first mixer is probably 20+ years old and came from my Mom when I moved to Spokane. She upgraded to the professional version and I got her beautiful mixer that I had used growing up and loved. My mom used the mixer to make banana bread with chocolate chips and I am continuing the tradition.
This mixer has been in our family for years and truly been a part of so many family celebrations and meals. A couple of years ago I bought myself a professional KitchenAid so I could whip out even more cookies and pastries at one time. With the blog I found myself making large recipes and needed a bit more mixing capabilities.

One thing I have found though is our house doesn’t really have a ton of room right now. The cabinets are super close to the counters so I have to move my mixers back and forth from the pantry. Enter in this super cute KitchenAid mini mixer that fits perfectly on my counter!
When Best Buy said they were going to send the mixer and be carrying the KitchenAid Mini’s I was so dang excited! You all know that kitchen appliances make me cry. I don’t know what it is but they do. Well, the KitchenAid Mini Mixer made me dance around the kitchen. It was so much fun opening the box. I wanted a cute bright color since my other two mixers are white. I didn’t want to know what color it was before the box arrived. You can imagine my joy when it was this super cute Yellow! So dang cute and perfect for my counter top!
It felt like Christmas morning opening the box and trying to see what color the mixer was. I never thought I would be so excited for a yellow mixer but it is just so dang cute!
They also have blue, red, a light lime green, along with a few more standard colors if bright isn’t your thing. Which I totally get! I love that KitchenAid is making mixer in a wide spectrum of colors so they fit everyone’s kitchens perfectly.
Do you ever feel pressure to make an epic recipe the first time you use a new appliance or is that just something I think about? It took me a few days to decide exactly what I wanted to make with the mixer. It can handle making up to 5 dozen cookies in a single batch! I made a huge batch of sugar cookies the other day and it handled it without a problem.
I fluctuated between making a killer batch of cookies, a giant meringue cookie or more cupcake recipes. We already have over 60 cupcake recipes on the blog so I went with making this delicious chocolate chip banana bread recipe! I mean really how can you go wrong with banana chocolate chip bread! Hello yum!
