Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients needed for Chocolate chip Banana Bread

  • Butter - Room Temperature
  • Sugar
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • Baking Soda
  • Baking Powder
  • Flour
  • Bananas - Room Temperature
  • Chocolate chips/chocolate chunks

How to make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Cream the butter and sugar together, Add the egg and milk until well combined.

Add the dry ingredients to the mixer and combine. The dough will be dry looking until the bananas are added.

Add the bananas and mix until well combined.

Hand mix in the chocolate chips so they hold their shape.

Bake in a loaf pan for an hour at 350 degrees

Recipe Tips
If you are using frozen bananas make sure to let them sit out overnight to get to room temperature. You want to make sure they can easily mash into the dough.

Don't forget to spray your bread pan with non-stick spray to make it a lot easier to remove the bread when it is done baking.

When using a mixer to put this together make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl and bottom during the mixing. You want to get all of the ingredients fully mixed together to make great moist banana bread.

We use semi-sweet chocolate chips most of the time to make this recipe. If you want to change up the flavor you could easily use peanut butter chips, dark chocolate chips, or other flavors.

You can add chocolate chips over the top of the bread dough to show off that it is Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips. Just make sure when you remove the bread from the pan you don't put your hand over the top and smear melted chocolate all over the bread.

This recipe makes 1 loaf of bread. You can easily double this recipe if you want multiple loaves of bread.

One of the things I miss being a fulltime traveler is my KitchenAid mixer, which is getting a workout at my daughter's place. I gave it to her with the caveat that if I ever wanted it back, she had to return it! Super recipe. We love chocolate chips in banana bread.
