Crock Pot Bourbon Barbecue Beef Sandwiches

This Crock Pot Bourbon Barbecue Beef Recipe is really easy to make.

Low and slow is the key to this recipe turning out amazing. If you try and cook it on high the meat does not get as tender as you would like. This makes it a lot more work to shred the beef.

I found 8+ hours on low to be the best time for this recipe. After 8 hours the meat is tender and pulls apart easily.

I used John's favorite barbecue sauce from a trip to Memphis in this recipe. You can easily use your family's favorite sauce.

The recipe only takes a cup of barbecue sauce so this is a great way to clean out a random jar or 2 that you may have on the door of the fridge.

I love being able to clean out the fridge and use up the small amounts that are leftover in bottles for these recipes.

I cannot comment from personal experience (I am vegetarian) but my husband and daughter-in-law said this is delicious! I added a bit more bourbon and used Guy Fierri (sp?) bourbon bbq sauce, otherwise it was the very same recipe 🙂 Thank you! I also toasted our buns with butter and garlic.

This sounds yum! I love Bourbon Chicken, but have never had Bourbon Beef. Considering we live in the bourbon state, there's not much excuse not to try this recipe soon! Especially since we love roast 🙂

If my husband saw this he would divorce me and ask you to marry him! lol - I'm glad you showed the meat to use so that I can find it when I'm in the grocery store. It helps A LOT!

You are so thoughtful Tammilee !! I really DO Have a question... when I was reading this I was apprehensive because sometimes my beef comes out good but often it is chewy and tough and I can never figure out what I did the same to make it that way??
Am I using too much liquid?
Or not cooking it lower for longer??
(Sometimes the liquid is halfway up the roast and sometimes I cook it an "auto" for 6 hours.)
Thank you so much for offering to help me!!! : )

I like to use the crock pot on low and cook for as long as I can. I find that the meat gets a lot juicier and moist on a long slow cook.
Every time I try to cut time and cook it on high it is not juicy or moist like I want it to be.
