I know it is still August but I am in the mood for Fall! I have seen a few leaves changing in our area which makes me so happy.
I never thought I would be so ready for Fall and cooler weather. It has been such a crazy fire season this year in our area I am ready for the rains to come and put the fires out. Our house smells like smoke right now from all of the firest. It has been crazy flying into Spokane and seeing all of the smoke in the area.
To help get ready for fall and all things pumpkin and apple we decided to make these delicious Crock Pot Caramel Apple Recipe!
So easy to make and oh so delicious!
This recipe is a bit labor intensive because you need to stir the caramel every 15 minutes but that is really the only hard part of the recipe. Oh and you need to unwrap all of the caramels but other than that easy peasy! 🙂
We made a game of who could unwrap the caramels the fastest. The game also helped hold us back from snacking on a large number of caramels while unwrapping them.
Crock Pot Caramel Apples Recipe
2 bags (14 ounces) Caramel candies, unwrapped
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1. Place unwrapped caramels, apple juice and pumpkin pie spice in your crock pot
2. Cover and cook on low for 1.5 to 2 hours, stir every 15 minutes
3. Dip apple pieces into the caramel and place on parchment paper to cool
For an added crunch dip caramel apple in toffee bits and allow to cool.
We use either the Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget Programmable Slow Cooker, 6-Quart or Crock-Pot 5-Quart Slow Cooker for all of our crock pot recipes
