Crockpot Glazed Carrots Recipe
Can I confess that I only like cooked carrots so this recipe was perfect for me. John only likes them raw so I kept some to the side for him and enjoyed a ton of cooked carrots. The things you do for a happy marriage 🙂
These Crock Pot Glazed Carrots are perfect for Easter or any family dinner. The slow cooker does the work and you have a great veggie side dish ready to go!
Ingredients
- Baby carrots
- Orange juice
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Orange zest
- Ground cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Cornstarch
The carrots are cooked as they soak in the melted butter, cinnamon, orange juice glaze. These slow cooker glazed carrots can be made with a bag of baby carrots or you can use sliced carrots.
I normally pick the baby-sized carrots in a bag because they are easy and you can skip the step of having to slice the carrots.
Great Crockpot Side Dishes
One thing I love about using the slow cooker all the time is it saves space in the oven and makes it easier to spread out the dishes I need to cook for holiday meals.
I can set up a schedule of getting everything started and then taking a deep breath instead of running all over trying to get things done.
These are some of our favorite slow cooker side dishes.
