Guinness Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

I can't believe we first shared this recipe back in March 2015! As I keep going through older recipes I am amazed at how many we have shared over the years. We are celebrating having the blog for more than 10 years this month!

When I started this website I never could have imagined that I would be whipping up recipes that focus on Guinness and Cheese but I am so good with it!

As we gear up for St. Patrick's day it is time to celebrate Guinness in all its glory! 🙂

We have even toured the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and loved it! It was absolutely amazing learning how to pour the proper pint of Guinness while in Ireland.

I truly hope that you enjoy this Guinness Beer Cheese Dip and have an amazing St. Patrick's Day!

Beer Cheese Dip with Guinness

Ingredients

  • Guinness beer
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Butter
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Sharp cheddar cheese

If this Guinness Beer Cheese Dip is too thick you can keep adding in more Guinness. It is a thicker dip but so good served with pretzel chips.

Equipment needed

Saucepan  - You want a saucepan that can handle the cheese bubbling in it and not have it anywhere near the top.

Long-handled spoon - Make sure you have a spoon that will reach the bottom of the saucepan. You will want to stir frequently so it does not burn to the bottom.

Guinness and chocolate, Guinness and pecans, oh yes! Check out all of these epic Guinness Recipes!

Which Guinness beer would you use? Extra Stout or Draught?
