Yesterday I turned 39 years young. As I look forward and think about turning 40 I really want to focus on my health, happiness, and feeling great.
I am working to integrate more fruits and veggies in our diet and spend more time cooking at home. One of the things I have been excited to start making is smoothies. They always taste so good and are crazy easy to make.
Today I am kicking off my new year with this delicious Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! HELLO YUM!
So easy to make! You probably already have all of the ingredients in your house right now! The only item I wasn’t sure we had was ice and well that is not hard to make happen thankfully.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Makes 1 drink
1 Dole banana, cut into chunks
1 cup milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup ice cubes
1. Blend ingredients together until smooth
Seriously how easy is that! This recipe can easily be doubled if you want to share it with a friend or loved one.

At each Tour stop, visitors can also create and submit their own Get Up and Grow! Healthy Living Pledge as part of a nationwide movement toward a healthier, plant-based diet in 2015 and beyond. All pledge-takers who sign up for the Dole Nutrition Newsletter will be emailed a regular stream of health and nutrition tips from the Dole Nutrition Institute (DNI) to help them reach their pledge goal.
New recipes available for sampling in Spokane range from the Banana and Blue Breakfast Smoothie to the Grilled Banana Parfait. Visitors can also learn about the Spinach-Avocado Hummus, Southwestern Gazpacho, Caesar’s Bounty Salad and the Charred Summer Salad, which Dole has proclaimed 2015’s “Official Salad of Summer.” All recipes will be featured in the Get Up and Grow recipe books that are being distributed at every Tour stop.
Visitors at each Get Up and Grow! Tour stop can also present a grocery receipt showing a qualifying level of DOLE® fresh purchases to receive a complimentary gift such as a Get Up and Grow! T-shirt or other limited-edition, branded item.
