This Woo Woo Cocktail Recipe is easy to make with vodka, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice. It's a classic that everyone loves.

I love that you can make this great cocktail by the glass, pitcher, or in a punch bowl. It is an easy recipe to adapt from single size to party size.

This classic vodka cocktail is great for parties or when you want to relax with a good drink. You don't need fancy vodka since it combines peach schnapps and cranberry juice.

It is similar to the Fuzzy Navel, made with Peach Schnapps and Orange Juice instead of cranberry juice.

You can enjoy this easy three-ingredient cocktail as a fruity sweet drink, shot, or fruity punch. There is no Woo-Woo Stuff happening with this easy vodka cocktail.

You don't have to be a bartender to make excellent cocktails for friends and family. We are excited to share this Woo Woo Cocktail and many more easy cocktail recipes.

The Woo Woo Drink hit the bar scene most likely in the late 70's when Peach Schnapps cocktails were the craze!

Peach Schnapps added a new flavor element to cranberry juice and vodka cocktails.

    Ingredients

This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make an epic Woo Woo Drink! Specific measurements and step by step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    • Vodka
    • Peach Schnapps
    • Cranberry Juice

    Garnish - Lime Wedge

Vodka - You can use your favorite vodka for this recipe. It does not need to be super fancy since it is being mixed with juice and peach schnapps.

    Equipment Needed

    • Highball Glass - This is the glass shown in the post. I love how sturdy they are and how easy they are to pour into.
    • Cocktail Shaker - You want to use a cocktail shaker that is comfortable to hold and you can easily pour from.
    • Ice Cube maker - This ice cubes maker produces the most amazing cubes of ice perfect for cocktails. It easily fits in the freezer and you can make up to 3 trays of round ball ice at a time.

How to make a Woo Woo Cocktail

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post but here's a quick version.

Pour Cranberry Juice, Vodka, and Peach Liqueur in a Cocktail Shaker filled with ice

    Shake ingredients together until chilled

Strain into a Highball Glass or Cocktail Glass.

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead: The Woo Woo Cocktail is make-ahead-friendly! Check out our tips below for preparing it pitcher or punch bowl-style.

Storage: Liquor.com recommends prebatching cocktails in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days before serving.

Freezing/How to Freeze: Liquor.comโ€™s guide does not recommend freezing fruit-forward cocktails since they may not have enough alcohol to keep well. Either increase the alcohol content to taste or keep it prebatched in the fridge until serving.

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

You can use your favorite plain vodka for this recipe. It does not need to be fancy since the cranberry juice and peach schnapps make most of the flavor.

You can switch to flavored vodka to spice it up a bit more. Any fruit vodka, such as strawberry, cucumber, and watermelon, will taste great, but you can also try it with vanilla or whipped cream vodka.

Bubbles: To make this cocktail bubbly and dilute the sweetness, add seltzer, club soda, or ginger ale.

    Fancy: Add sparkling wine.

Vegetarian + Vegan Option: The Woo Woo Cocktail is 100 percent vegetarian and vegan.

Gluten-Free: This cocktail should be gluten-free, as its ingredients typically do not contain gluten, but if you are highly sensitive and want to avoid cross-contamination, look for a gluten-free label on any mixers.

Alcohol-Free Option: To make a Woo Woo mocktail, replace the vodka and peach schnapps with NA alternatives. Peach puree would be a fantastic non-alcoholic alternative to peach schnapps.

Smaller Serving Size: If you make this into a shot, you will decrease the amount of cranberry juice compared to vodka and peach schnapps. Keep in mind that reducing a non-alcoholic mixer makes a more potent drink.

Make It Spicy: We have seen some folks add a dash of hot sauce or muddled jalapeรฑos to spice up the Woo Woo Cocktail, though we have yet to try these preparations.

    Larger Group/More Servings:

This cocktail is easily adaptable to serving in a punch bowl if you are making it for a party or large gathering. Jazz it up by floating berries, sugared cranberries, or watermelon in the punch bowlโ€”everything from watermelon to berries will taste great

Depending on if you are serving the Woo Woo Punch in a pitcher or punch bowl, you will want to increase the ingredients incrementally. Use the slider in the recipe card below to adjust the recipe to the serving size that fits your pitcher or punch bowl.

Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 13 grams of sugar per serving. Use sugar-free alternatives to peach schnapps and cranberry juice to make it sugar-free.

Tips for the Best Woo Woo Cocktail

    • For more flavor and brightness, squeeze lime juice or the juice of another citrus fruit into the drink. Flavored fruit syrups also work if you have them available.
    • The alcohol content of the Woo Woo Drink is 14 percent ABV, or 28 proof on average.
    • While the original Woo Woo Drink uses cranberry juice, we have seen multiple variations that use pomegranate juice.
    • You can add plain or cranberry-flavored simple syrup to make this cocktail sweeter.
