I love making candy-inspired cocktails. They are so fun to share at parties and with friends. Plus, the flavors are always so good.

We have done multiple chocolate candy inspired shots (Peppermint patty shot, Snickers shot, and so on) so I decided it was time to do another fruity shot.

Tito's Vodka, Pineapple Juice, Sweet n Sour Mix next to a shot glass and orange tic tacs

This Tic Tac Shot is super easy to make with only three ingredients!

    Ingredients

This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make an epic Tic Tac Drink! Specific measurements and step-by-step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    • Vodka
    • Sweet 'n Sour Mix
    • Pineapple Juice

Vodka - We used regular vodka but you can use orange vodka to increase the flavor and sweetness.

    Equipment Needed

    • Cocktail Shakerย โ€“ This cocktail shaker comes with a fantastic set of tools
    • 2 ounce shot glassesย - We love this 2 oz shooter glass

How to make a Tic Tac Shot

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

Step 1 - Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake until chilled.

Step 2 - Strain mixture into a shot glass and enjoy.

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead โ€“ This drink can be made ahead and stored in the fridge without any ice. Make sure it is in a sealed container and marked as an adult beverage.

Storage โ€“ Any leftovers can be kept in the fridge in an airtight container without ice.

Freezing/How to freeze โ€“We have not tried making this a blended drink but it should work with ice in the blender.

    Recipe Variations

Substitutions - To make a full size Tic-Tac cocktail you can pour this in a rocks glass with ice.

I have seen versions that add Red Bull energy drink to it to make a Tic Tac Bomb Drink in a pint glass by dropping the shot into the Red Bull.

Vegetarian Option -  This recipe is vegetarian.

Vegan Option โ€“This recipe should be vegan, you will want to check the ingredients just in case.

Gluten Free - This recipe should be gluten free. I would double check the sweet and sour mix just in case there are any cross-contaminations but we did not see any clear issues.

Alcohol Free Option โ€“ You can use a NA Vodka to make this a non-alcoholic mocktail shot.

Smaller Serving Size โ€“ This recipe makes a two ounce shot, it can be split into two 1 ounce shots.

Larger Group/More servings โ€“This recipe can easily be doubled or more to serve a large group. You can change the serving size on the recipe card below.  Add Sprite to make this a larger cocktail.
