While we were in Germany before our Viking River Cruise we visited the Black Forest and spent two days exploring. We fell in love with this region of Germany! One of the highlights of the trip was having Black Forest Cake in the Black Forest! Inspired by this visit today we are sharing these delicious Black Forest Cupcakes Recipe! HELLO YUM!
The Black Forest is truly a magical place to visit. Somehow it was so magical that my dear husband convinced me we needed to bring a cuckoo clock home. I honestly was not over the top excited at the idea of a clock that chirps on the hour. After a few weeks, I am slowly but surely enjoying the cuckoo clock. When it goes off I think back to the Black Forest and our amazing time exploring the region. Don’t tell John, though, I still like to make him think he needs to convince me to love the clock.
The clock shop where we bought our cuckoo clock had this giant cuckoo clock outside. Since we were there in the winter it was sadly turned off but they said that most of the pieces move when it hits the hour.
