Crock Pot Baked Ziti Recipe

This recipe makes a pretty good amount of pasta. Perfect for a big family dinner or for leftovers. I packaged the leftovers in individual reusable containers so we had them ready to go for lunches.

I am going to admit that I also snacked on this cold and it was just as good. This may be my new favorite crock pot recipe.

It could be the combination of a few of my favorite things...cheese and pasta!

I fully admit to loving cheese and pasta. There is just something comforting about a bowl of pasta.

Are you ready for a delicious cheesy super simple crockpot vegetarian recipe!

Crock Pot Baked Ziti Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Egg
  • Parsley Flakes
  • Minced Garlic
  • Pepper and salt
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Ziti pasta
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Recipe Tips

You can make this vegetarian or with meat, it is really up to you. You can use a meat-based sauce or add browned ground beef to the layers.

I updated the recipe to have 2 jars of tomato sauce in it. You can make this with one but I find that the two jars make it even more flavorful and perfect for re-heating.

I highly suggest spraying the slow cooker with non-stick spray to make it easier to clean once you are done.

You can easily reheat this baked ziti crockpot recipe in the microwave. I like to add a bit more mozzarella cheese to it for no reason other than it tastes amazing.

We love serving this with our favorite garlic bread.

If you can't find Ziti Noodles you can easily change them for Penne Pasta.

I like to serve this slow cooker baked ziti directly from the crockpot. I love that the slow cooker keeps it warm when we want a 2nd serving.
