Crockpot Shrimp and Grits

The July 2014 issue of All You Magazine had this great Crock Pot Shrimp and Cheese Grits Recipe and I couldn't wait to try it!  It is so easy to make and tastes great.

Imagine my surprise when All You Magazine reached out and asked to feature us in their magazine. I might have squealed with excitement while reading the email. I am super excited that we were featured in All You Magazine for making this recipe. We are towards the front of the magazine and there is a picture of me along with the Crock-Pot Shrimp and Cheese Grits Recipe.

Can I tell you it is really really weird opening a magazine and seeing my picture in it? I truly never imagined that I would be published in a national magazine when I started blogging. Totally crazy!

This is one of our favorite slow cooker recipes. It is so easy to make and looks amazing when served to guests.

You can pair your shrimp and grits with great side dishes including cornbread, cheddar bay biscuits, sour cream muffins, 7-up Biscuits, salad, southern collard greens, sauteed spinach, southern succotash, baked apples, air fryer brussels sprouts, tomato salad, corn salad, fried okra, or coleslaw.

It is really up to you what sounds epic.

Curious about what kind of grits you used for this recipe? Also do you put in uncooked grits with it all? I've never cooked grits and wasn't sure!!

    Thank you in advance!

Is there a product that has the favor of hot sauce but not the heat? Or is there a substitute that has a similar flavor but not hot?

I've never really developed a taste for grits, but the rest of my family loves it. Didn't realize you could make it in a crock pot!

I was just in New Orleans, and Shrimp & Grits was a really popular dish. It was pretty good, and now I can make it at home!
