 Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese

I love using the Slow Cooker to make quick and easy dinners! There is nothing quite like setting it up and forgetting it until dinner is ready. I love how great the house smells while it is cooking. I set the goal this year of trying to use our slow cooker at least once a week.

So far I have made Fall off the Bone Ribs, Spicy Buffalo Ranch Chicken, and now Mac and Cheese. This vegetarian crockpot recipe turned out great. John said it reminded him of German Spaetzle which is one of his favorite German dishes.

We first shared this recipe back in February 2013! It was one of the first slow cooker recipes we ever shared. It is crazy to think from this recipe we have now shared over 250 crockpot recipes.

This was the catalyst for a lot of recipes on the blog.

    Hey there,
This sounds great! It's actually on my menu for next week. I was wondering though about how many servings does this make?

    Thanks!

You have got to use the new crock pot liners. They are great and clean up is a snap...you just remove the bag. They look like the turkey roasting bags you get at Thanksgiving. A must!

So easy and delicious! Next time I"m going to add a little hot sauce because that's what I usually add to my baked mac 'n cheese.

That was so nice and easy. It did not say to cook the elbows so I did not. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the correct procedure. Everything is in the crock pot and it is set for 4 hours, just in case. I will stir hourly and check for doneness after 3 hours. I'lll post my final assessment when it is cooked and sampled.

I did it with uncooked macaroni. I wanted to save myself another pot to clean and deal with.
