Witches Hat Cookies

I love quick and easy Halloween desserts! Our goal this year was to share as many easy Halloween recipes as we could.

The holidays are always so busy and a bit crazy that we want to make sure you have a ton of options for easy recipes.

Our goal is always to help make sure the holidays are amazing but also reduce stress as much as possible.

We love sharing homemade treats that are quick and easy. These Witches Hat Cookies are so easy to make and you can customize them based on what you have available.

If you are making a charBooterie board these look fantastic mixed in with other holiday treats. We made a mummy board with our favorite mummy sweet treats and it was so much fun.

Kids will love helping make these. They are perfect for a Halloween Party.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Cookie
  • Hershey Kisses
  • Green Icing/frosting

Optional - Halloween sprinkles, icing to create a buckle on the cookie

Chocolate Cookies - Any type of chocolate cookie can be used. Great ones include Fudge Strip Cookies, chocolate-covered shortbreads, chocolate covered Oreo Cookies, or any circle chocolate cookies. Use your favorite cookie recipe to make these unique! Go wild and use peanut butter cookies!

Hershey Kisses - We used classic Hershey Kisses but you can easily use any flavor of Hershey Kisses.

Icing - We used green icing but these would look great with any color icing.

Equipment

Baking Sheet - We love these baking sheets with sides. They help keep all of the ingredients containers and keep any messes off the counter. You can also use a cooling rack.

Parchment Paper - We suggest using parchment paper to make it really easy to clean up.

Step 1 - Assemble all of the ingredients on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 2 - Spread icing on the bottom of a Hershey's Kiss or add a dollop of icing to the cookie.

Step 3 - Press the Hershey kiss into the center of a chocolate cookie so the icing creates a layered rim around the Hershey Kiss.

Recipe Tips

You can use candy melts, chocolate chips, to make the band on the hat. If you are using candy melts make sure to use a microwave safe bowl.

Store in an airtight container.

We use premade cookies to skip turning on the oven or whipping out the stand mixer. Our goal was to cut down on prep time and the total time it takes to make these fun Halloween treats.
