Preparation and Storage
Make Ahead + Storage: Store CrockPot Pumpkin Spice Latte leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy them within three days.
Freezing/How to Freeze: Freeze any leftovers in an airtight, freezer-safe container and enjoy them within three months. We’ve seen folks recommend storing them in ice cube trays or freezer-safe soup containers for easy portioning out and serving.
How to Reheat: Reheat your leftover lattes using your microwave or stovetop, depending on how many portions you need to prepare. Thaw frozen leftovers in the fridge before reheating them to ensure they heat up evenly.
Recipe Variations + Tips for the Best CrockPot Pumpkin Spice Latte
Substitutions: We use milk and cream in a 2:1 ratio, but you can swap these ingredients with dairy-free alternatives if you don’t consume dairy. This recipe also adapts to hot chocolate if you aren’t a coffee fan.
Add maple syrup to make it a maple pumpkin spice latte. This will also act as a sweetener.
Vegetarian Option: This recipe is vegetarian-friendly!
Vegan Option: Vegans should replace milk and cream with plant-based substitutes. Almond Milk, coconut milk, are great options.
Gluten-Free: This recipe should be gluten-free, as none of its components typically contain gluten. However, gluten-free eaters who are highly sensitive should check each ingredient for a gluten-free label to be safe.
Alcohol-Free Option: We don’t add alcohol to the base recipe, but you can add an ounce of our CrockPot Pumpkin Liqueur to each cup for an adult-only twist.
Smaller Serving Size + Larger batch/More Servings: The written recipe makes eight servings. Scale it up or down to your desired yield, keeping in mind that you may need to work in batches if you scale up.
Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 17 grams of sugar per serving. Replace the brown sugar with a sugar-free alternative to make it sugar-free.
