I am really excited to share Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese! I love using the Slow Cooker to make quick and easy dinners! There is nothing quite like setting it up and forgetting it until dinner is ready. I love how great the house smells while it is cooking. I set the goal this year of trying to use our slow cooker at least once a week. So far I have made Fall off the Bone Ribs, Spicy Buffalo Ranch Chicken, and now Mac and Cheese. This recipe turned out great. John said it reminded him of German Spaetzle which is one of his favorite German dishes.
Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
8 oz elbow macaroni
2 tbsp oil
12 ounces evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup milk
3 cups cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter
Directions
1. Spray slow cooker with non stick spray or use Slow Cooker Liners
to help with clean up
2. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker
3. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours
Our mac and cheese was done at 3 hours. I did check the mac and cheese every hour and stir it so it did not stick to the sides as much.

Can this recipe be doubled?
Dionne, I would think the recipe could definitely be doubled.
I love homemade mac and cheese. I don’t necessarily love the time I have to stand stirring the milk/flour/butter combo until it becomes thick
This is something I have to try! I would love for you to share it at what i am eating http://www.townsend-house.com/2013/03/what-i-am-eating_22.html
