We have been doing a lot of recipes focused on things you might not expect to be able to make in a CrockPot, and chicken wings fall right in line with this series. What I love about making chicken wings in the CrockPot is you can serve them directly from the CrockPot, so they stay warm.

You don't have to run back and forth to the kitchen to ensure they are warm! You can keep them in the CrockPot and serve right from it. Plus, they just taste so great! The spices have time to soak into the chicken to pack it full of flavors.

What are some of your favorite things to make in the slow cooker?

Are you getting ready for the big football game? Don't miss these other great Crockpot Game Day Recipes! I love setting up a table with slow cookers lined up so I know the appetizers stay warm and I don't have to stress about cooking and can enjoy actually watching the game.

I spent way too many football games in the kitchen stressing over food and missing out on the big game.

Recipe Variations + Tips for the Best CrockPot Jamaican Jerk Wings

    Substitutions:

We use a combination of wings and drumettes, but you can use wings if you prefer this cut of meat. You can even use chicken thighs if you prefer boneless wings.

You can add sweetness to your Jamaican jerk wings with white or brown sugar. We have even seen recipes that add honey as a sweetener.

These wings can also be finished off on the grill.

Vegetarian + Vegan Option: Meat-free eaters wonโ€™t be able to use this recipe for wings, as it is specific for meat. However, you can find many meatless and plant-based Jamaican jerk recipes on the internet made with substitutes such as seitan.

Gluten-Free: Whether this recipe is gluten-free depends on the jerk sauce you use, so look for a gluten-free label if you cannot consume gluten.

Alcohol-Free Option: We donโ€™t use alcohol in this recipe, but check out these Smoked Jerk Wings with Caribbean Rum Sauce if youโ€™re interested in boozy jerk wings!

Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings: We use a dozen chicken wings and drumettes to make six servings, so each person gets two chicken pieces. Scale the written recipe up or down to your desired yield, working in batches as needed if you scale up.

Make It Spicy: You can control the spice level of your wings with the bottled jerk sauce you use. Choose the spiciest you can find at the store if you like extra hot wings.

Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 1 gram of sugar per serving, with the final amount depending on the bottle of jerk sauce you use.
