The combination of amaretto and eggnog is simply delicious! We are having so much fun sharing new Christmas holiday cocktail recipes. I love changing up the classic rum eggnog cocktail and using Amaretto. The nutty flavor of amaretto works great with the creamy eggnog flavor.

This years holiday season feels like a bit of a blur. We have been trying to create new holiday recipes, see family and friends, have quiet date nights, and try new things.

We took a cooking class to learn to make lemon tarts as one of our Christmas dates. The class was taught by an executive chef from Ladurรฉe French patisserie.

We try to plan date nights leading into the holidays that are fun and new. Something for just the two of us to enjoy together.

We have also been trying new holiday cocktails and baking recipes. Expanding our classic recipes with fun new options. If the past couple of years have taught us anything it is to enjoy each day and have fun.

Are you planning holiday celebrations this year? Are you already plotting out the new year and what you hope the next year brings?

This boozy eggnog cocktail is perfect for celebrations.

I keep thinking about the New Year and what I want to get done. This time of year feels like the perfect time to curl up in front of the fireplace with a trusty yellow legal notepad and plot out big goals and dreams for the new year.

The perfect time to write out those big audacious goals that feel scary but also so right.
