Our favorite Halloween treats take minutes to prepare and look super cute. I also love treats that don't have to be "perfect" to look cute.

These Reese's Bats are easy to make and they can don't have to be perfect to look amazing. You can create them in minutes.

I have been on a mission this year to make a ton of fun Halloween cute treats. For the past few years we have been stuck at home for the most part and this year we are going all in for Halloween.

    Ingredients

This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make super cute Reese's Bat Treats! Specific measurements and step-by-step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    • Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
    • Oreo Cookies
    • Chocolate Chips
    • Candy Eyeballs

Peanut Butter Cups - We used mini PB cups but these could easily be made with full-size Reeses Cup.

Oreo Cookies - We used classic Oreos but you can use any flavor since you only need the cookie portion.

Chocolate Chips - you can also use chocolate candy melts. You want to use a chocolate that will solidify to hold the Oreos to the Reeses PB cups.

    Equipment Needed

Baking Sheetย - We are huge fans of these baking sheets with sides. They work great to keep everything contained and easy to clean up.

Parchment Paper - Parchment paper makes it so easy to clean up after making these.

Wooden Skewer - We use a wooden skewer to add the melted chocolate to the top of the PB cups.

Microwave-Safe bowl - to melt the chocolate chips

    How to make Reeses Bats

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

Step 1 - Prep ingredients on a parchment lined baking sheet. Unwrap mini Reeses PB cups if needed.

Step 2 - Scrape filling from Oreos and break the cookies in half for the bat wings.

Step 3 - Melt chocolate chips until smooth.

Dab chocolate onto the top of the PB Mini cups and press Oreo wings down until they are solid.

You can use a small spoon or toothpick to dab the chocolate.

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead โ€“ These can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container. Just make sure they are in an area they are not going to get knocked over or moved a ton.

Storage โ€“ Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Freezing/How to freeze โ€“ We do not suggest freezing these Reese's Bat.

    Recipe Variations

Substitutions - Use Oreos as the base to make Oreo Bats

Vegetarian Option - ย Oreo cookies do not contain any animal-derived ingredients and are safe for vegetarians.

Vegan Option โ€“ Use vegan peanut butter cups from brands like Unreal, Justin's, Pea not Cups and more. Oreos may have cross contact but the ingredients are vegan from what we have found.

Gluten Free - Use gluten free cookies and peanut butter cups. Unreal PB Cups are gluten free.

Smaller Serving Size โ€“ This recipe can be used on 1 or 100 Reese's Bat Treats.

Larger Group/More servings โ€“This recipe can be used on 1 or 100 Reese's Bat Treats.

    Recipe Tips

Make sure to use a chocolate that will solidify to hold the Oreo wings. We tried using chocolate icing and the wings just fell off.
