Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

I have been on a spree making homemade milkshakes this summer. Today's Strawberry Milkshake is delicious and easy and oh my goodness so dang delicious!

John's nephew tried this milkshake and took a moment of bliss before telling me it was the best milkshake he had ever tasted. I am not sure if that was because it was 105+ degrees outside in Spokane or he truly loved it that much.

You will have to let me know what you think when you make it.

Did you set the Oreo Milkshake I shared last week? So good! Next week I am going to share a banana milkshake that is yummy!

We are huge fans of these strawberry shakes and are now working on making an epic chocolate milkshakes recipe.

Strawberry milkshake ingredients, milk, vanilla ice cream, and frozen strawberries

Ingredients

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Milk
  • Strawberries
  • Sugar
  • Whipped Cream

Optional - Vanilla Extract can help the flavors really pop.

Other mix-ins to change up the flavor include blueberries, strawberry jam, or raspberries.

For a bit of chocolate you can swirl chocolate sauce around the inside of the glass.

Equipment Needed

Blender - We are big fans of the Ninja Blender. You can use any blender that is strong enough to mix all of the ingredients.

Soda fountain-type glasses - I love the look of these soda fountain glasses. They just make the milkshake look even more decadent.

Paper milkshake straws - if you are serving this at a party or want to make them look like you are at an ice cream counter I love these paper milkshake straws.

Recipe Tips

I make this recipe with vanilla ice cream; you could use strawberry ice cream if you want even more strawberry flavor.

If you are using fresh berries set the strawberries in a medium bowl with sugar and stir to combine. Let them sit for 20 minutes to macerate.

We use frozen strawberries that we set out for a bit to thaw for this recipe. You can also use fresh strawberries. We like being able to use frozen strawberries year-round.

Use less milk to make a thicker milkshake.
