I have a confession to make….
I have to admit that I used to buy apple crisp mix at the store. Not once, not even twice but multiple times I bought apple crisp mix at the grocery store. Oh how I wish I would have known how easy it is to make apple crisp. I can say I will not be buying it at the grocery store at any point in the near future. This Crock Pot Apple Crisp is so dang easy and taste amazing! Plus as a bonus the house smells so good!
Crockpot Apple Crisp
Ingredients
4-5 cups apples, sliced
1 cup of oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup regular sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup butter
Instructions
1. Spray Crock-Pot with nonstick spray
2. Line with apples
3. Melt butter and mix with all remaining ingredients
4. Pour mixture over apples
5. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 4-6 hours
6. Enjoy
I made this at night and then reheated it in the morning and it was great. The first time I made this we ended up running a few errands that took longer than expected. The Apple Crisp was in the Crock Pot for about 5 hours on high. I would not suggest cooking it for this long. The crisp was really really cripsy and the apples dried out a lot. The 3 hour mark on high seems to work the best for this Crock Pot Apple Crisp Recipe

What kind of oats did you use? quick oats or old fashioned?
I used quick oats when I made it. I think they were Quaker oats.
Why is it that I can’t print this recipe?
I am not sure. The page should be able to be printed.
How many people does this serve? Could I double it?
You could easily double it.
Did you peel your apples?
I did not peel the apples. I just cut them into pieces.
Do you think this would work with whole wheat pastry flour?
I use whole wheat flour for it all the time.
Thanks!
