    Rum Jumper Cocktail

Is anyone else dreaming of being on a Carnival Cruise Ship right now? It feels like it has been so long since our Carnival Miracle Alaska Cruise this past summer.

I am in serious need of a cruise ship nap, a fruity tropical cocktail, and hearing the ship's horn sound as we leave port. We are working on booking a cruise, hopefully on the Carnival Radiance soon. I can't wait to check out this revamped ship now that it is sailing out of Los Angeles.

I also really want to sail on the new Carnival Mardi Gras! Have you seen how amazing this ship looks? I am already in love with the Fortune Teller bar and have not yet set foot on board.

Until we book a cruise ship trip, I figured it was time to share another Carnival Cruise cocktail you can make at home. It may be cold outside, but we can dream of being in a tropical paradise while staying inside. LOL!

If you are a fan of the Red Frog Pubโ€”and let's be honest, who isn'tโ€”make sure to check out the Ting Mojito. It's so good!

One of our favorite places to visit on a Carnival Cruise Ship is the Red Frog Pub, where you can enjoy the Caribbean vibe. We also love the Red Frog Rum Bar on the Lido Deck. Their cocktail menu is fantastic.

How to make a Rum Jumper

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, then shake and strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.

Drizzle grenadine on the top of the drink and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

    Make Ahead:

Recipe Variations + Tips for the Best Rum Jumper Cocktail

    Substitutions:

You can replace Bacardi with another coconut rum; just use a coconut-flavored rum for the same flavor. Similarly, you can use another dark rum in this cocktail.

    Vegetarian + Vegan Option:

This yummy Carnival Cruise cocktail is vegetarian and vegan.

    Gluten-Free:

The Rum Jumper cocktail is gluten-free if you replace Gosling Dark Rum with a gluten-free alternative, as this ingredient may not be gluten-free.

    Alcohol-Free Option:

Replace the rums, bitters, and banana liqueur with NA alternatives to make this Carnival Cruise cocktail alcohol-free.

    Larger Group/More Servings:

The written recipe makes one cocktail. If you are serving a group, adjust the slider in the recipe card below to the serving size you need.

    Sugar-Free:

The written recipe contains 11 grams of sugar per serving. Make it sugar-free with sugar-free grenadine and banana liqueur, and check that your pineapple and orange juices have no added sugars.
