It is hard to believe we are less than a week away from Thanksgiving. I am not sure how that is possible because I am pretty sure it was just the Fourth of July. Are you ready for Thanksgiving?

  • Onion,
  • Oil
  • Turkey
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Long cooking wild rice
  • Pepper
  • Chicken broth
  • Evaporated milk
  • Flour
  • Peas

How to make delicious Crockpot Turkey and Wild Rice Soup

Ingredients

  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 cup turkey diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • ½ cup wild rice long cooking
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 1 cup peas

Instructions

  • Cook onions
  • add cooked onions, turkey, celery, carrots, rice and seasoning to crock pot
  • Stir in chicken broth
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours
  • Mix in evap milk, flour, stir in peas
  • Cook on low for 20 minutes
