I am all in for hot chocolate this year. This week we are due to have temperatures below zero plus on and off snow.
I stocked up on hopefully everything we might need so I don't have to spend a ton of time getting life essentials.
One of the essentials I stocked up on was a ton of hot chocolate. I am going to try a whole bunch of different mixes to see which ones we love the most. I may even work on a hot chocolate bar idea that would be fun for a winter party.
It all depends on how distracted I get trying to stay warm and cuddling with the cats. LOL!
This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make an epic Baileys' Hot Chocolate! Specific measurements and step-by-step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

Garnish - Top with whipped cream or a dollop of Baileys Irish Cream Whipped Cream
Optional - Chocolate Sauce, Cocoa Powder, Marshmallows, whip cream, chocolate flakes, gingerbread cookies, cinnamon sugar, real chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and vanilla syrup.
Hot Chocolate Mix - we use an easy hot chocolate mix for this recipe but you can easily make homemade hot chocolate. We used milk chocolate hot cocoa mix but you could easily use a flavored hot chocolate.
Bailey's Irish Cream - We use original Baileys, but you can use Baileys Almande for a vegan option.
Milk - We suggest making this with whole milk for a rich flavor. You can also use almond milk, coconut milk, or other milk alternatives.

Smaller Serving Size – This recipe currently makes one glass of Baileys with Hot Chocolate. You can divide this into two glasses for a smaller serving.
Larger Group/More servings – This recipe can easily be doubled or more for a large group. We suggest making it in the crockpot so you can easily keep the drink warm while serving.
PLEASE use milk to prepare your hot chocolate! I know the box mixes say they can be made with water but for this Baileys Hot Cocoa recipe you really want to use milk. It will mix together better and taste better.
If you are serving a large group you can easily make a large quantity of hot cocoa and have guest add in the Baileys
You can adapt the amount of Irish Cream Liqueur in your cocktail based on how strong you want the drink to be.
