Hot Chocolate Dip Recipe

I love dessert dips! They are quick and easy to make and everyone loves them.

There is just something fun about dipping a cookie or graham cracker into a dessert dip. It makes me feel like I did when I was a kid trying to dip into the cookie dough and holiday treats. LOL!

Have you seen our 3 ingredient Dunkaroo Dip! So much fun!

This dessert hot cocoa dip takes barely any time to throw together. The hardest part is honestly getting the marshmallow fluff out of the container and not getting it all over your hands. I always end up making a mess when I bake with marshmallow fluff.

I love the chocolate flavor of this dip! It is the perfect holiday party dip.

We are under a winter storm warning today which means that a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream on top is in my future. I am thinking about making either eggnog whipped cream or brown sugar bourbon whipped cream to top my piping hot mug of hot chocolate.

Baking and playing in the kitchen is how I plan to spend the rest of winter. It is time to whip up some more fun recipes perfect for snow days and the upcoming holidays.

Last year I made snow ice cream to amuse myself during the cold winter months. This year I am thinking about working on fun whipped cream flavors and drinks.

Are you a fan of winter and snow or are you like me counting down the days to spring and more sunlight?

Ingredients

  • Dry Hot Chocolate Mix
  • Cool Whip Whipped Topping
  • Marshmallow Fluff

Garnish - a cup of Mini Marshmallows or crushed candy canes

Serve With - Graham Crackers, animal crackers, a spoon, candy canes, strawberries, Oreos, pretzels, large marshmallows, apples, or chocolate chip cookies.

Hot Chocolate Mix - you can use your favorite dry hot cocoa mix! Swiss Miss, Ghirardelli, Land o Lakes, or any brand you love.

Optional - To make this a creamier dessert dip you can add in a brick of cream cheese which will make this a hot cocoa cheesecake dip. You can also just use cream cheese is you don't have any marshmallow fluff or can't find it in  your local store.
