I love how quick and easy it is to make this Oreo Chocolate Bark.

You only need a few minutes and two ingredients to make an epic chocolate candy bark.

This recipe is one part easy candy recipe and one part easy chocolate recipe, so you donโ€™t have to choose one or the other when you want a sweet, chocolatey treat.

    Ingredient

Here is a quick overview of the simple ingredients needed to make an epic 2-Ingredient Oreo Bark! The printable recipe card at the bottom of the post includes specific measurements and step-by-step instructions.

    • Oreo Cookies
    • White Chocolate Chips/Discsย

This recipe can be made with white chocolate chips, candy coatings, or vanilla bark, or change it up and make it with a milk chocolate base for even more chocolate flavor.

    Equipment

    • Parchment Paper -ย  I love that I can use parchment paper to help make it easier to remove the Oreo White Chocolate Bark. They also make clean-up a breeze. If you are not using parchment paper you will want to spray non-stick cooking spray on your baking sheet to help the cookies not stick.
    • Baking Sheets - We are huge fans of these baking sheets with sides. You don't have to worry; you will remove the cookies from the oven and have them slide right off.
    • Spatula
    • Large Mixing Bowl ย We are big fans of this glass batter bowl that has a handle. It makes it easy to mix ingredients and keeps the mixing bowl steady on the counter.

    How to make Oreo Bark

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper

pile of Oreo pieces, a bowl of white chocolate chips on a cutting board.

    Step 1

Break Oreos into pieces and remove as many crushed Oreos crumbs as possible. Tap them lightly to remove any extra crumbs. This helps keep the white chocolate clean.

Melted white chocolate in a glass bowl with a wooden spoon

    Step 2

Add white chocolate chips/discs or a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after every interval until melted.

Make sure to try and melt the chocolate evenly. We like to use the microwave because it is quick and easy and cuts down on the total time needed for this recipe.

You can also use a double boiler if you want to melt the chocolate that way.

    Step 3

Gently fold Oreo crumbs into the melted chocolate until evenly spread. Pour onto a parchment paper-lined baking pan.

Use a spatula to spread the mixture into an even layer.

For more Oreos on top sprinkle pieces over the top of the melted chocolate and press them in.

Allow to cool and solidify, break into chunks before serving. You can also cut the bark with a sharp knife if you want distinct edges.

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead: This Oreo Bark needs 30 to 60 minutes to harden in the refrigerator, making it an easy make-ahead treat that you can prepare before you plan to enjoy it.

Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy them within a week.

Freezing/How to Freeze: You can freeze this Oreo Bark in an airtight, freezer-safe container or Ziploc bag for four to six months before it hardens and gets difficult to break up.

How to Reheat: Let refrigerated and frozen leftovers sit at room temperature until still firm but soft enough to bite into.

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

You can use different flavors of Oreo Cookies for fun variations of this recipe. The chocolate mint Oreos would be amazing.

You can make this Oreo Bark with white chocolate chips, candy coatings, or vanilla bark, or change it up and make it with a milk chocolate base for even more chocolate flavor.

Vegetarian Option: This dessert recipe is naturally vegetarian.

Vegan Option: Oreos and white chocolate chips contain dairy, so vegans should replace both ingredients with plant-based alternatives to make this recipe vegan.

Gluten-Free: Gluten-free eaters should use gluten-free white chocolate chips and Oreoโ€™s gluten-free variety to make this recipe safe for a gluten-free diet.

Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings: The written recipe makes 12 servings and scales quickly to your desired yield. Make sure you have enough cookie sheets if you double or triple it.

Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 24 grams of sugar per serving. Replace both ingredients with sugar-free substitutes to make it sugar-free.ย
