Easy RumChata Pudding Shots only take a few ingredients and a couple of hours to chill. The perfect party pudding shot that tastes amazing.
RumChata Pudding Shots
I love that you only need 4 ingredients to make these epic RumChata Vanilla Pudding Cups!!!
They are perfect for dessert, Valentine's Day parties, Girls Night In, Tailgating, Relaxing, and really anytime you want a delicious dessert pudding shot with creamy RumChata mixed in.
- RumChata cream liqueur
- Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
- Cool Whip
Optional - You can add in a bit of vanilla vodka for more flavor. Just make sure you reduce the RumChata so the consistency stays the same with the pudding shots.
Garnish - If you want to garnish your pudding shots you can spritz a bit of whipped cream on top. Sprinkle a little cinnamon
Pudding - You can use any flavor of pudding that you love. Cheesecake pudding makes RumChata Cheesecake Pudding Shots. This recipe tastes amazing with chocolate pudding. Even Banana or White Chocolate would be amazing.
If you make RumChata Cheesecake Pudding Shots you can get "Fancy" and sprinkle them with graham cracker crumbs for a fun look.
Large Mixing Bowl - We are big fans of this glass batter bowl that has a handle. It makes it easy to mix ingredients and keeps the mixing bowl steady on the counter.
2 oz Plastic disposable party shot cups - We use the small plastic Jello shot cups for this boozy dessert. You an use the plastic shot glasses but make sure you have a tiny spoon or a way for people to enjoy the treat.
How to make RumChata Shots
Step 1 - Combine milk, RumChata, and vanilla pudding mix in a large mixing bowl until it starts to thicken.
Step 2 - Gently fold in Cool Whip Whipped Topping until no streaks are showing.
Step 3 - Divide into individual plastic cups with lids. I find that using a cookie scoop helps keep them evenly spread and the same size.
You can also spoon the pudding mixture into Jello Shot Glasses. I find that the cookie scoop makes a little less of a mess.
Try to leave a little space at the top of the pudding so the lid does not press down on the RumChata Pudding Mix. If the lid gets to close it can leave a funky line all over the pudding shot and it isn't as pretty when you take the lid off.
They still taste amazing but you are going to want to show off your pudding shots so why not make them look fantastic.
Step 4 - Add lids to each cup and store in the refrigerator until chilled and set.
You can also place these in the freezer to set.
This recipe can be made with any flavor of pudding.
We use the 2 oz cups with lids because they are easily consumed. There are larger 7 ounce cups with lids. If you use the larger cups you will want to offer a mini spoon for guests.
This recipe can be doubled or tripled if bringing them to a party or event.
Make sure to store these in a cooler with ice if you are traveling with them.

- Combine milk, RumChata, and Vanilla Pudding Mix in a large mixing bowl.
- Gently fold in Cool Whip until no streaks are showing.
- Scoop into 2 oz. Jell-O Shot Cups with lids. Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours to set.
