    How to Make Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

    I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

    1. Butter a baking dish and set aside.
    2. Preheat the oven
    3. Roll out the dough. Butter the dough. Gently press the brown sugar into the dough on top of the butter. Sprinkle with the cinnamon.
    4. Cut the dough into slices, Carefully roll the dough up. Place each roll in the prepared baking dish
    5. Bake

    Cream Cheese Frosting Directions

    1. Cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk.
    2. Spread the icing over the warm rolls and serve immediately.

    Ingredients

    • 8 Ounce store-bought pizza dough
    • 1 tablespoon Butter
    • ยฝ cup Brown Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
    • Optional additional ingredients: add in ยฝ cup raisins dried cranberries or walnuts if desired.

    Cream Cheese Icing

    • 1 Ounce Cream Cheese softened
    • 1 tablespoon Butter softened
    • โ…“ cup Confectioners Powdered Sugar
    • ยฝ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
    • 1-2 tablespoons Milk
    US Customary - Metric

    Instructions

    • Butter a baking dish and set aside
    • Preheat the oven to 375-degrees.
    • Roll out the dough to ยผ-inch thick. Butter the dough. Gently press the brown sugar into the dough on top of the butter. Sprinkle with the cinnamon. (Top with optional ingredients if desired).
    • Cut the dough into 8 equal strips. Carefully roll the dough up. Place each roll in the prepared baking dish, about 1-inch apart
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the rolls are golden brown.

    Cream Cheese Icing Directions

    • Cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk.
    • Spread the icing over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
