We love making fun layered shots especially when they taste fantastic. This dessert shot was created to replicate the famous candy bar...Snickers Bar!

You don't have to be a trained bartender to create epic layered shots. It may take a little bit of practice but it is so worth it to wow your friends with a cool party shot.

The most important thing is to pour slowly over the back of a spoon. You don't want the liquor to mix into the layer below it. You want each layer to show evenly.

If your layers are not distinct in the beginning don't worry; the cocktail still tastes the same.

Ingredients

• Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
• Frangelico
• Baileys Irish Cream liqueur 

Optional Garnish - Rim edge of shot glass with caramel sauce and add crushed nuts.

Equipment Needed

2 oz shot glasses - We love these 2 ounce shot glasses, especially for layered shots.

Bar Spoon - Bar spoons help to create layers in the cocktail shot. They fit perfectly into the cocktail shot glass.

OXO angled jiggers - these are our go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.

 

How to make a Snickers Shot 

The instructions to make this layered shot are easy but you want to make sure you use a steady hand when pouring each layer of the shot.

Step 1 - Pour Kahlua in the middle of the glass trying to not hit the sides of the shot glass.

Step 2 - Slowly pour Frangelico over the back of a bartending spoon to create the 2nd layer.

Step 3 - Rotate the shot glass and wipe off the bartending spoon. Slowly pour the Baileys over the back of the spoon to create the 3rd level.

Recipe Tips

If you are not worried about creating layers in your Snickers Shot you can use a cocktail shaker with ice cubes to mix all the ingredients together and pour into a shot glass.

This recipe can be increased to make a larger Snickers cocktail and served in an old-fashioned glass.
