    This Sweet Tart Shot is such a fun candy-inspired cocktail. It tastes great and is super easy to make.

    Remember the sugar rush as kids you enjoyed when eating Sweet Tarts and hanging out with friends. Now as adults we can enjoy our own version with this Sweet Tart Cocktail Shot.

    We have quite a few candy inspired cocktail shots including a Jolly Rancher Shot, Butterfinger Shot, Pink Starburst Shot, Peppermint Patty Shot, and Jelly Bean Shot.

    Ingredients

    This is a quick overview of the simple ingredients that you'll need to make an easy Sweet Tart Cocktail Shot! Specific measurements and step-by-step instructions are included in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    • Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
    • Southern Comfort
    • Sweet & Sour Drink Mix

    Sweet Tart Candies - Have a couple packages of Sweet Tarts to enjoy with this cocktail shot

    Equipment Needed

    • Cocktail Shaker
    • 2 ounce Shot Glass

    How to make Sweet Tart Shot Recipe

    I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

    Step 1 - Add ice, Chambord, Southern Comfort, and Sour Mix to a cocktail shaker.

    Step 2 - Shake until chilled, pour into a shot glass, enjoy

    Preparation and Storage

    Make Ahead โ€“ This candy-inspired cocktail shot could be made ahead of time. Store in the refrigerator without ice in a sealed container. Shake again before serving.

    Storage โ€“ Leftovers if you have any can be stored in the fridge without ice in a sealed container. Make sure kids know this is an adult drink.

    Recipe Variations

    You can make different colors of this cocktail shot by changing the Chambord with different flavors of liqueur.

    They turn the cocktail shot into fun vibrant colors! Great for parties.

    Blue Sweet Tart Shot - To make a Blue Sweet Tart Shot you will need to replace the Chambord with Blue Curacao.

    Apple Sweet Tart - Vodka, Sour Apple Schnapps, Fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and an apple slice garnish.

    Sweet Tart Martini - Serve in a chilled martini glass.

    Vegetarian Option - Chambord, Southern Comfort are vegetarian,

    Vegan Option โ€“ Chambord contains honey so it is not considered vegan-friendly.  Southern Comfort is considered vegan friendly.

    Gluten Free - Chambord is Gluten-Free. Unfortunately, Southern Comfort is not Gluten-Free

    Alcohol Free Option โ€“ A mocktail can be made with sweet and sour mix and fruit juice.

    Smaller Serving Size โ€“ This cocktail shot is approximately 1.5 ounces. You can lower the portion size to make a smaller shot.

    Larger Group/More servings โ€“ This cocktail shot can be made ahead of time in a larger quantity to serve at a party. Just scale the recipe to more servings and store in the refrigerator without ice. Shake before serving.

    Sugar Free โ€“ To lower the sugar count use lite sweet and sour mix
