Woohoo!!! Here's another spiked eggnog cocktail that takes barely a minute to prepare. I love easy winter cocktails that can be made individually or in a pitcher for a holiday party.

This traditional Eggnog mixed with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky has flavor in every sip. It reminds me of sitting in front of the fireplace with the Christmas tree lit up at night, taking a deep breath.

The holidays can be stressful, with running around and trying to do everything. This year, we have intentionally taken time each night to breathe deep and slow down.

We hope you enjoy this creamy eggnog cocktail enhanced by the cinnamon flavor of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky. The combination of flavors is a favorite Christmas holiday season cocktail.

This holiday nog is an excellent mix of warm spices and a bit of sweetness. This eggnog recipe easily scales to make more than one cocktail.

Classic eggnog, fireball bottle, glass, cinnamon sticks, and a gold spoon

    Ingredients

Here is a quick overview of the simple ingredients needed to make an epic Fireball Eggnog Drink! The printable recipe card at the bottom of the post includes specific measurements and step-by-step instructions.

    • Eggnog
    • Fireball Whisky

    Garnish - Nutmeg, cinnamon stick.

Optional - Amaretto, Vanilla Vodka, Cinnamon Sugar rimmed glass

    Equipment Needed

    • Cocktail Shaker: This cocktail shaker comes with a fantastic set of tools.
    • Cocktail Glass

    How to make Fireball Eggnog

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

crystal glass with ice in it next to a gold spoon

Chill the glass with ice or place it in the fridge to chill before making the cocktail

Garnish with a cinnamon stick. You can also sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg (or both!) over the eggnog and Fireball cocktail.

    Preparation and Storage

    Make Ahead + Storage:ย

You can prepare this cocktail up to three days before serving. Refrigerate it in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.

    Freezing/How to Freeze:ย

Blend your Fireball Eggnog with a handful of ice to make Fireball Eggnog milkshakes.

    How to Reheat:ย

We serve this holiday cocktail cold, but you can serve it warm on a cold winter night. Slowly heat the eggnog on the stovetop, stirring the mixture frequently until it reaches your desired temperature.

    ย

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

If you don't have Fireball, any brand of cinnamon whiskey liqueur will work for this recipe. Alternatives we enjoy in this Fireball Eggnog are Sinfire Cinnamon, Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire, Jim Beam Fire, and cinnamon schnapps.

Homemade eggnog or store-bought eggnog also works in this recipe.

    Vegetarian + Vegan:

Fireball Eggnog is vegetarian but not vegan. Many sources confirm that Fireball is not vegan, and eggnog contains dairy, so vegans should replace both ingredients with vegan alternatives.

    Gluten-Free:

Fireball is not gluten-free, so gluten-free drinkers should replace it with a gluten-free substitute to make it safe for a gluten-free diet.

Eggnog is a dairy-based product that is naturally gluten-free, but if you are highly sensitive and want to avoid cross-contamination, look for a gluten-free label.

    Alcohol-Free Option:

Replace the Fireball with NA cinnamon whiskey or liqueur to make this cocktail non-alcoholic.

Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings:

The written recipe makes one Fireball Eggnog cocktail with proportions that adjust easily to any glass size.

Adjust the slider in the recipe card to the number of servings you need to make it pitcher-style. We love serving it in a large pitcher with cinnamon sticks.

    Sugar-Free:

The written recipe contains 9 grams of sugar per serving. We are unsure whether Fireball has alcoholic sugar-free substitutes, but you can lower the sugar content with sugar-free eggnog.

Tips for the Best Fireball Eggnog

    • You can adjust the amount of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky based on how strong you want this holiday cocktail.
    • For more flavor, add a couple of dashes of orange bitters. You can also add in Triple Sec, Vanilla Vodka, or Amaretto.
    • You can also make this cocktail by filling a cocktail shaker with ice, shaking it until combined, and straining the drink into a glass.

What to Serve with Fireball Eggnog

This Fireball Whiskey Eggnog is an easy-to-make holiday cocktail that blends a holiday favorite with the goodness of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky! We love the festive flavors of a classic Christmas Beverage that is easy to make.ย
