We love cooking with our favorite CrockPot. One of our favorite things to share is Crock Pot Entree Recipes!

Nothing is better than coming home from work and having dinner already made. I love that you can prep everything beforehand, get it in the CrockPot, and cook it all day while away from the house. Coming home, having the house smell delicious, and knowing you can relax at night is truly underrated!

This Crock Pot Kielbasa and Green Beans with Potatoes is great!ย  If you are cooking for a crowd, you will love how much this recipe makes! It is excellent for a crowd and having leftovers to enjoy throughout the week.

You can easily split this recipe in half if you cook for only a few people. I made it so there would be a ton of leftovers. My husband LOVES CrockPot Kielbasa!

Crockpot Kielbasa and Green Beans with Potatoes Ingredients

    Ingredients

Here is a quick overview of the simple ingredients for making an epic CrockPot Kielbasa with Potatoes and Green Beans! The printable recipe card at the bottom of the post includes specific measurements and step-by-step instructions.

    • Kielbasa Sausage
    • Fresh or Canned Green Beans
    • Russet Potatoes
    • Seasoned Salt
    • Chicken Brothย

    Equipment Needed

    • Knife/Cutting Board
    • Measuring Cups
    • CrockPot: We suggest using a CrockPot with a digital timer that automatically switches the slow cooker to warm after a set time to ensure your dinner cooks perfectly, and you don't have to stress about when itโ€™s time to eat.

I hope that this CrockPot kielbasa recipe makes your life easier! It is so easy to make, and leftovers keep well.

How to Make CrockPot Kielbasa with Potatoes and Green Beans

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

    1. Wash and cut potatoes into small cubes. I choose not to peel the potatoes; however, you can if you prefer them without the skin.
    2. Cut smoked sausage into bite-size pieces.
    3. Wash and cut up fresh green beans or open cans.
    4. Toss potatoes, sausages, and green beans into the CrockPot.
    5. Pour between a cup and a half of chicken stock and season to taste with the seasoned salt.
    6. Cook on lowย

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead: This dish takes eight hours to come together in your slow cooker, giving you plenty of time to work on other menu items or simply relax until itโ€™s time to eat.

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy them within three to four days.

Freezing/How to Freeze: Freeze leftover Kielbasa with Potatoes and Green Beans in an airtight, freezer-safe container and enjoy it within two to three months.

How to Reheat: Reheat leftover portions using your stovetop or microwave, depending on how many servings you need to prepare. If you are reheating a large batch for a full dining table, you can transfer reheated leftovers to a CrockPot set to low.

    ย

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

You can use 1.5 pounds of fresh green beans or four cans of canned green beans, depending on what you have in your kitchen.

You can replace the seasoned salt with regular salt if you donโ€™t have it in your pantry, but we donโ€™t recommend replacing this ingredient since it fills out the dish's flavor.

Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese, add in garlic powder to customize this easy dinner.

Vegetarian Option: Replace the kielbasa with a plant-based substitute and chicken broth with vegetable broth to make this recipe vegetarian and vegan.

Gluten-Free: Look for gluten-free labels on your kielbasa, chicken broth, and canned green beans if using canned over fresh to avoid cross-contamination.

Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings: The written recipe makes eight servings. Scale it up or down to your desired yield, working in batches as needed according to your CrockPotโ€™s capacity if you scale up.

Make It Spicy: Add a few dashes of red pepper flakes to your slow cooker Kielbasa with Potatoes and Green Beans to let them take on heat as they cook.

Sugar-Free: The written recipe contains 3 grams of sugar per serving. Please remember that the final nutritional content will depend on the exact ingredients you use in your dish, so check each label if this is a dietary concern.

Tips for the Best CrockPot Kielbasa with Potatoes and Green Beans

    • We have seen other versions that add extras, like garlic and onion powder. Feel free to add extra seasonings until you get the taste you want, making sure to fold them into the mixture before walking away from the CrockPot so all the ingredients can develop the flavors.ย
