Ingredients
- Vodka
- Apple Cider
- Lime Juice
- Ginger Beer
Garnish - Lime Wedge, apple slice, cinnamon or cinnamon stick
Vodka - You can use your favorite vodka in this recipe. The flavor of the vodka is not strong compared to the cider and ginger beer so you don't need to use an expensive brand.
Equipment Needed
Copper Mugs - Cooper Mugs are the perfect glassware for a mule! The copper mugs get cold when you add in the crushed ice. They keep your drink cold and it just looks great when served in a copper mug.
OXO angled jiggers - these are our go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.
How to make an Apple Cider Moscow Mule
Step 1 - Add vodka, apple cider, and lime juice to a copper mug. Stir together.
Step 2 - Add ice to the Moscow mule mug and top with ginger beer.
Step 3 - You can keep the garnish simple with a lime wheel/wedge and a slice of apple or add in a bit of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.
It really depends on the flavors you enjoy.
Recipe Tips
You can combine the vodka, apple cider, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker if you want to make sure the flavors are really well combined. Just make sure to pour it into a copper mug with fresh ice. We normally just stir them together in the mug.
For a boozier mule cocktail, you can switch out the non-alcoholic apple cider for hard apple cider.
This recipe can be given even more of an autumnal twist by changing out the vodka for bourbon or apple vodka or caramel vodka. You could even try a bit of fireball cinnamon whisky in this cocktail.
