3 Ingredient Beer Bread

This beer bread never lasts very long when I make it.  It is so dang easy to make that it has become a staple in our house.  We keep all of the ingredients on hand so we can make it any day. It is so quick and easy to whip up in a few minutes.

As crazy as life is right now with all the things happening in the world I love knowing that we can always have fresh bread day that we want it.

3 Ingredient Beer Bread Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Bisquick Baking Mix or gluten-free Bisquick mix
  • Sugar
  • Beer

Equipment Needed

Large Mixing Bowl - We are big fans of this glass batter bowl that has a handle. It makes it easy to mix ingredients and keeps the mixing bowl steady on the counter.

Bread Loaf Pan - We love making multiple loaves of bread at the same time.

Heat resistant potholders - A couple of years ago we had a fire scare when we didn't realize we had turned a burner on and a cloth potholder caught fire. Thankfully we walked by the kitchen and saw the smoke and were able to get it out ourselves. Since then we have only used these heat-resistant potholders.

Bread Knife - The teeth on the wavy edge of the knife's blade easily slice through foods' crust or skin without tearing the soft inside. Ideal for slicing bread, angel food cake, meatloaf, fruits, and tomatoes

Recipe Tips

You can use different flavors of beer to get new tastes each time. We have made Guinness Beer Bread, Pumpkin Beer Bread, and Apple Cinnamon Beer Bread. There are so many great flavors of beer to play around with.

Let cool before slicing

That's it! You now have an amazing fresh loaf of bread that tastes and smells ah-mazing! Woohoo!

As someone who LOVES homemade bread but hates waiting for it to rise and having to knead it (I have very weak arms), this recipe is a life saver! I've made it twice now as a last minute contribution to parties and both times everyone loved how much flavor it had and how moist it is. Both times I've been asked for the recipe, so that should say something.

My only question is what is the best beer to use for this recipe, or does it even matter? I'm not a beer drinker and both times I just used a can of Bud Light, but if anyone has any suggestions on a better beer to use please let me know 🙂

And finally, thanks for sharing such an easy recipe!

So, I noticed that the recipe calls for bisquick, but the picture shows krusteaz. Which one are you really supposed to use? Thanks!

Hi, I have used both without a problem. I switch back and forth depending on what is in the house.

Basic 2-loaf white bread is the one of the easiest recipes for all beginners to learn. The recipe uses all the basic bread ingredients: flour, milk, water, yeast, sugar, and salt. It can be served fresh out of the oven or frozen for later use.
