I also love that you can change the cranberry juice and champagne ratios depending on how strong you want your cocktail. It is a fun twist on the standard mimosa and great for the holidays.

The combination of cranberry juice and sparkling wine is so good! The holiday season is busy and can feel overwhelming. We aim to share quick and easy holiday recipes that take a little stress away and help you have a wonderful holiday.

We are already preparing for the New Year and planning what recipes we want to share, including many fun, easy cocktails.

Add a sprig of rosemary across the top of the champagne flute to make a Christmas mimosa.

    How to make Cranberry Mimosas

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

The classic mimosa traditionally combines champagne (or another sparkling wine) and chilled citrus juice, usually orange juice, unless otherwise specified.

We changed the classic mimosa recipe by replacing orange juice with cranberry juice. If you love the orange/citrus flavor, you can easily add orange juice to this recipe.

To make a Cranberry Mimosa, pour the juice first and then the sparkling wine last. This order lets you decide how much champagne you want to add to the cocktail.

The carbonation of the champagne also looks fantastic at the top of this winter cocktail.

    Preparation and Storage

    Make Ahead:

These Cranberry Mimosas are not make-ahead-friendly. You don't want to lose the champagne bubbles by having it sit in a pitcher before you can serve it to guests.

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

You can use champagne, Prosecco, Cava, or any sparkling wine.

Pure cranberry juice will be tarter than the sweeter cranberry juice cocktail. It is up to you what flavor you prefer.

    Vegetarian Option:

This pretty red cocktail is naturally vegetarian!

    Vegan Option:

Look for a vegan champagne to make this cocktail safe for a plant-based diet.

    Gluten-Free:

Champagne and cranberry juice are naturally gluten-free, making this holiday cocktail a terrific option for gluten-free drinkers.

    Alcohol-Free Option/Mocktail:

Replace the champagne with an NA alternative to make alcohol-free Cranberry Mimosas.ย

    Larger Group/More Servings:

The Cranberry Mimosa is not a make-ahead-friendly holiday cocktail. Serve each guest individually so everyone gets a fresh, bubbly beverage.

    Sugar-Free:

The written recipe contains 8 grams of sugar per serving; the final nutritional content depends on your mixers. To make it sugar-free, use sugar-free champagne and cranberry juice.

Tips for the Best Cranberry Mimosa Cocktailย

    • Make sure your champagne and cranberry juice are cold/chilled.
    • If you don't like a strong mimosa, add more cranberry juice and cut back on the champagne.
    • The raw cranberries are not edible but look amazing in the cocktail.
    • Add a splash of orange juice to make Cranberry Orange Mimosas. We love this fun new flavor combination as much as the original.ย
    • These unbreakable champagne glasses are great for holiday parties. You can get these unbreakable stemless flutes or unbreakable stemless flutes.
