When making this Eggnog Milkshake, all I could think about was how jealous I was of anyone living in a warm area.

It has been snowing on and off the past few days, and we are due for more snow later this week. While I love the idea of a white Christmas, I also love not shoveling snow and walking on the beach at Christmas.

So much so that I started looking at houses in places that don't get snow. Until that becomes a reality, I will keep whipping out fun new eggnog recipes.

You can make this Eggnog Shake with or without booze. Whether you want to add extra flavor to your milkshake is up to you.

We have been on such a fun eggnog recipe spree! I bought eggnog from Costco, and the two containers are much bigger than I thought they would beโ€”oops! I challenged myself to make as many recipes as possible with eggnog while we still had some in the fridge.

Depending on how the ones I am testing out later today come out, I will likely end up with between 6 and 10 new eggnog recipes.

Kids will love this shake! While the McDonald's Eggnog Shake is a limited-time offer, you can make this beverage anytime!

    Ingredients

Here is a quick overview of the simple ingredients for making an epic Eggnog Shake! The printable recipe card at the bottom of the post includes specific measurements and step-by-step instructions.

    • Eggnog
    • Nutmeg
    • Whipped Creamย

Optional Garnishes: Ground Nutmeg, Maraschino Cherry, Cinnamon Stick, Gingersnap Cookies, A Sprinkle of Cinnamon, Chocolate Drizzle

Garnish - Ground Nutmeg or you can try Maraschino Cherry, Cinnamon Stick, gingersnap cookies, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a chocolate drizzle.

French Vanilla Ice Cream - You can use any brand of vanilla ice cream that you have available. If you want to change up the flavor you can use chocolate ice cream to make a chocolate eggnog milkshake. Vanilla gelato would make an epic shake!
