    Irish Frog Shooter

This layered shot is easy to make as long as you slowly pour the liqueur. There are only two ingredients in this frog shot which makes it great for parties.

This green cocktail tastes like a creamy melon with the combination of Midori and Baileys.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Midori Melon Liqueur
    • Baileys Irish Cream

    Equipment Needed

2 oz shot glass - tall straight shot glasses work the best for this shot recipe. They help create the distinct lines and are the easiest to pour into.

Bar Spoon/small spoon - Make sure the spoon fits inside of the shot glass so you can pour over it.

We use OXO Measured Jiggers to make layered drinks. They are easy to hold and pour perfectly.

How to make an Irish Flag Shot

Step 1 - Pour Midori melon liqueur into the shot glass. Aim to pour in the middle of the glass so the Midori does not get on the side of the glass. This will help with achieving the distinct layers of this cocktail shot.

Step 2 - Slowly pour the Baileys Irish Cream over the back of a bartending spoon. The Baileys will layer on top of the Midori.

    Recipe Tips

This shot will taste the best if both the Baileys Irish Cream and Midori Melon Liqueur have been chilled before use.

There is a slightly different Irish Frog Shot called the Fallen Frog, Mangled Frog, or Squashed Frog that includes a bit of grenadine to appear like a poor bloody frog.
