You can adapt this recipe to any of your favorite sodas. This slushie recipe would be epic with Orange Soda or other flavored drinks.
It was so hot this summer we were doing everything we could to cool down and enjoy refreshing drinks. I even went on a homemade milkshake spree making cookies and cream milkshakes, banana milkshakes, and strawberry milkshakes.
I even made a Dr. Pepper Float which we will be sharing soon. I was on a mission with this Coke Slushie and all the other fun new recipes to find ways we can all cool off and enjoy a delicious drink.
I love that there is no need to use an ice cream maker for this recipe! It is a quick and easy frozen Coke Slushie and the only tools you really need are an ice cube tray and a blender.
If you don't have an ice cube tray you can use a shallow dish and break up the pieces to put into the blender.
Ingredients
- Coca Cola
- Coke Ice Cubes
Coca Cola - You can make this recipe with Diet Coke or any flavored Coke soda
Coke Ice Cubes - We make Coke Ice Cubes by using an extra ice cube tray and freezing Coco Cola overnight. This helps make sure your slushie does not get watered down.
Equipment Needed
Blender - We are big fans of the Ninja Blender. You can use any blender that is strong enough to mix all of the ingredients.
Soda fountain-type glasses - I love the look of these soda fountain glasses. They just make the milkshake look even more decadent.
Paper milkshake straws - if you are serving this at a party or want to make them look like you are at an ice cream counter I love these paper milkshake straws.
Recipe Tips
If you don't have time to make Coke ice cubes you can use additional regular ice cubes. The drink may not be as strong with Coke flavor.
