My Husband LOVES the flavor of Key Lime! I am pretty sure he would happily fly to Key West monthly to enjoy his favorite key lime pie.
He keeps trying to convince me we need to do a series on the best key lime pie in key west.
I think he just wants the excuse to eat everything key lime he can find. LOL!
I love how easy this no bake key lime pie is to make. We make it with key lime juice and zest but you can easily use regular limes if that is all you can find.
Plus you don't have to turn your oven on when it is crazy hot out. This quick and easy key lime pie recipe does need to rest in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Make sure to plan not only time for the pie to rest but space in the refrigerator.
If you are having guests over for a barbecue, dinner, or event you may want to make 2 of these pies. I find that the tart, tangy, goodness of this pie is a crowd pleaser and it disappears quickly.
No Bake Key Lime Pie Ingredients
- Cream Cheese
- Whipped Cream
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Key Lime Juice- fresh or prepared.
- Key Lime Zest
Graham Cracker Crust - Homemade or Store-bought pie crust
Garnish - lime slices, whipped cream, lime zest.

How to make No Bake Key Lime Pie
I love how easy no bake desserts are to make. Quick and easy instructions that don't take long to prepare.
You will want to plan time for this no bake summer pie to rest in the fridge. This is honestly the hardest part of this entire recipe.
The waiting for it to set and get ready is so hard.
Step 1 - Prepare a homemade graham cracker crust or make sure you have a store-bought crust.
If you are making a homemade crust you will need graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and a 9-inch pie dish.
We use our food processor to get even graham cracker crumbs. If you do not have a food processor you can also crush them with a rolling pin.
Step 2 - Key Lime Filling
Whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form and then set to the side.
In a separate bowl beat the cream cheese until it is smooth with the paddle attachment. Whisk in the lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, and fresh lime zest.
Gently fold in the whipped cream. Pour into the graham cracker crust and let chill in the fridge.
Step 3 - Toppings
You can do a variety of toppings on top of this no bake key lime pie recipe.
Fun options include lime slices, more zest, cool whip, strawberry pieces, sliced lemons, shaved chocolate, or a combination of all the things.
Make sure to store this no bake pie in the fridge.
If you don't have graham crackers to make the crust you can also make a nilla wafer crust, sugar wafer crust, Oreo Crust, or use a store bought crust.
Don't forget soften the cream cheese before mixing it.

How to store the Homemade Key Lime Pie No Bake
This pie can be stored in the refrigerator or the freezer. You want to make sure that it is kept cold.
Refrigerator - This pie can be stored up to 3 days in the fridge. The graham cracker crust will start to absorb moisture from the pie and get a bit soggy. Don't worry it still tastes amazing.
Freezer - this pie can be frozen for up to 3 months. Make sure that it is in an air tight container before placing it in the freezer.
Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.

Key Lime Pie Filling
- 8 Ounce Cream Cheese Softened
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 14 Ounce Sweetened Condensed Milk
- ½ cup Lime Juice Key Lime or regular limes
- Lime Zest
- Prepare homemade graham cracker crust or make sure you have a store bought crust.
- Whip heavy whipping cream with mixer until stiff peaks form. Set to the side.
- In a separate bowl beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Whisk in sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest.
- Gently fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until evenly combined.
- Pour key lime pie filling into the graham cracker crust. Set in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours before serving.
- Top with whipped cream, lime zest, or a combination of both.
