This Seven Layer Taco Dip is a great twist on classic layer dip. The combination of bean dip, guacamole, sour cream and taco seasoning with fresh veggies is so good!

We skipped adding ground beef to this recipe but you can easily add an 8th layer with seasoned ground beef.

We like to pre-make this seven layer taco dip and store it in the refrigerator.  I add the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese right before serving this dip.

I know you can get store-bought dip most days before big sporting events or holidays but trust me making your own is a breeze!

This classic layer dip is so good it goes by a ton of names including Mexican layer dip, 7 layer bean dip, taco dip, and more.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Refried Bean Dip
    • Guacamole
    • Sour cream
    • Taco Seasoning
    • Mayonnaise
    • Shredded Lettuce
    • Black Olives
    • Tomatoes, chopped
    • Mexican shredded cheese or cheddar cheese
    • Tortilla chips

Bean Dip - If you are entertaining anyone who is vegan/vegetarian make sure to check that the bean dip does not have meat in it.

Optional - black beans, green onions, salsa

If someone in your family doesn't enjoy one of these flavors you can change it up and switch them around.

How to make 7 Layer Taco Dip

This layer dip is so crazy easy to make!!!

    Spread bean dip

The bean dip does not need to be hot/warm to be spread in the casserole dish. If you make your own bean dip you can let it cool before spreading it.

    Spread Guacamole

You can use homemade guacamole or store-bought guacamole whichever works best for you.

Mix together sour cream, taco seasoning, and mayonnaise

    Layer over avocado dip

Layer lettuce, diced tomatoes, olives, and then top with cheese

You can use Mexican blend, taco blend, sharp cheddar cheese, or any cheese you enjoy.
