This Seven-Layer Taco Dip is a great twist on the classic layer dip. It combines bean dip, guacamole, sour cream, and taco seasoning with fresh veggies, and it's so good!

We skipped adding ground beef to this recipe, but you can easily add an eighth layer of seasoned ground beef.

We like to pre-make this seven-layer taco dip and store it in the refrigerator. I add the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese right before serving it.

You can get store-bought dip most days before major sporting events or holidays, but making your own is a breeze!

This classic layer dip is so good that it goes by many names, including Mexican layer dip, 7-layer bean dip, taco dip, and more.

Mayo, Mexican style cheese, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes, taco seasoning, refried beans, and large pitted olives

    Preparation and Storage

    Make Ahead + Storage:

This layer dip recipe is make-ahead-friendly! Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy them within four days.

    Freezing/How to Freeze:

We do not suggest freezing this 7-layer Taco Dip. It contains sour cream, mayonnaise, and lettuce, all ingredients that do not freeze well.

    How to Reheat:

It is best to enjoy this dip cold. We do not suggest heating it.
