I LOVE Fall! The leaves turning, all the pumpkin decorations, the cooler nightsโ€”honestly, everything about Fall makes me happy.

Don't get me wrongโ€”summer is fantastic, but something about fall is just perfection. Enjoying warm days and then curling up with a hot apple cider and fireball at night is magic!

I also love how easy this apple cider with Fireball is to make. You can make it by the glass or an entire pitcher to serve a group.

This fall drink would be fantastic for a fall harvest party, Halloween parties, or a Thanksgiving cocktail.

This year, I decided to explore apple cider recipes. We already shared an apple cider margarita, and there are many more to come.

This hot toddy combines apple cider and a Fireball whiskey shot. Hot cider is the perfect mix with the cinnamon flavor of Fireball.

Fireball whisky tastes like cinnamon candy mixed with Canadian whisky. This spiced whiskey adds a welcome kick of flavor to this hot Fireball apple cider cocktail.

    Ingredients

Here is a quick overview of the simple ingredients needed to make an epic Fireball Apple Cider Drink! The printable recipe card at the bottom of the post includes specific measurements and step-by-step instructions.

    • Fireball Whisky
    • Hot Apple Ciderย

Optional Garnishes: Cinnamon Sticks, Apple Slices, cinnamon sugar rimย

Apple Cider - You can use fresh apple cider or an regular apple cider drink mix packet. Caramel Apple cider can be used for a sweeter flavor.

If you don't have apple cider you can use apple juice but it will not have the flavor and spices that normally come with apple cider.

Apple cider can be found at the grocery store or farmers markets depending on the time of year you are making this apple cider cocktail.

Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey - If you don't have Fireball you can also use Sinfire cinnamon, Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire, Jim Beam Fire, Cinnamon Schnapps.

    Equipment Needed

    • OXO Angled Jiggers: These jiggers are our go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.
    • Cute Mug or Cocktail Glassย

How to make Apple Cider with Fireball

The instructions for making this apple cider and Fireball cocktail are quick and easy! In minutes, you can have a hot cocktail that tastes amazing.

I've included complete instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here's a quick version.

    Preparation and Storage

Make Ahead: This warming fall cocktail tastes best prepared fresh and hot, especially if you use fresh-made apple cider.

    Recipe Variations

    Substitutions:

You can use fresh apple cider, a packet of regular apple cider drink mix, or caramel apple cider for a sweeter flavor.

If you don't have apple cider, you can use apple juice, but it will not have the flavor and spices that apple cider usually has.

Use Sinfire Cinnamon, Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire, Jim Beam Fire, or cinnamon schnapps if you don't have Fireball.

A bit of caramel vodka adds a sweet caramel flavor to this apple cocktail.

Vegetarian + Vegan: Fireball Apple Cider is vegetarian but not vegan. Many sources confirm that Fireball is not vegan, so vegans should replace it with a vegan alternative.

Gluten-Free: Fireball is not gluten-free, so gluten-free drinkers should replace it with a gluten-free substitute to make it safe for a gluten-free diet.

Alcohol-Free Option: Swap the Fireball for NA cinnamon whiskey or liqueur to make this hot fall cocktail alcohol-free.

Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings:

The written recipe makes a one-cup serving for one, with proportions that adjust easily to any size mug.

Adjust the slider in the recipe card to the number of servings you need to make it pitcher-style. We love serving Fireball Apple Cider in a large pitcher with cinnamon sticks.

    Sugar-Free:ย

The written recipe contains 23 grams of sugar per serving, but the final content depends on your apple cider and whether you use Fireball or another cinnamon liqueur.

We are unsure whether you can make this drink 100 percent sugar-free since Fireball Whisky has no sugar-free alcoholic substitutes, but you can lower the sugar content with sugar-free apple cider.

Tips for the Best Fireball Apple Cider

    • You can find apple cider at the grocery store or farmers' markets, depending on the time of year you make this apple cider cocktail.ย
    • Add a splash of ginger ale or ginger beer to this fall cocktail for a fun additional flavor and some bubbles.
    • You can make this hot cocktail into a chilled version by using cold apple cider and skipping the heating step.
