I am going to confess that I made this recipe this past summer while the sun was shining to finally get photos to share. I always make it during the winter and find that Spokane weather is not the best for happy photos.
My husband came home and was so excited to see this buffalo ranch chicken dip sitting waiting for him. I ended up having to take photos quickly so he didn't dive into it before I was done.
This can also be made in the crockpot if you are looking to pre-make it before an event.
- Rotisserie Chicken/Shredded Chicken
- Cream Cheese
- Ranch Dressing
- Frank's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce
- Cheddar Cheese
Serve with corn chips, tortilla chips, celery sticks and carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, toasted bread, pita chips
Optional - Top with blue cheese crumbles, green onions
Chicken - We use a Costco rotisserie chicken that we cut up. You can also use slow cooker shredded chicken breast or canned chicken. Any of these options work great.
Cream Cheese - Make sure to use a block form of cream cheese and not the spreadable cream cheese. Full-fat block cream cheese works best. Low fat cream cheese can separate.
Ranch Dressing - This cools down the heat from the hot sauce and adds an epic flavor. You can also use blue cheese dressing if you prefer that flavor.
Cheese - You can use sharp or medium cheddar cheese, white cheddar, colby-jack, tex-mex really any cheese you love that is shredded and melts easily.
How to make Buffalo Chicken Dip
Make sure to preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 1 - Cut chicken pieces off of rotisserie chicken or use crockpot shredded chicken.

Step 3 - Spread cream cheese ranch chicken mixture in the bottom of a large casserole dish.
Step 4 - Cover chicken mixture with Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce evenly.

We bake this in layers but you can stir it all together and bake together if you prefer.
