Easy Air Fryer Broccoli is the perfect vegetable side dish. So easy to make and it tastes amazing.
Air Fryer Broccoli
We have been having so much fun making veggies in the air fryer. It is amazing how versatile the air fryer really is.
From making frozen french fries to crispy air fryer broccoli you can really make almost anything in the air fryer. I even made air fryer cookies that I am going to share soon.
We have been trying to balance out all of our air fryer recipes and add more vegetables and protein to help balance out all of the frozen appetizers. LOL!
I used to roast all of our veggies in the oven but now the air fryer wins. It is such a time saver not having to wait for the oven to heat up and then wait for the veggies to roast. With the air fryer, I can have crispy broccoli on the table in about 10 minutes.
Ingredients Needed
- Broccoli florets
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
Optional Flavorings - lemon juice, parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, minced garlic, cheddar cheese
Can you use frozen broccoli?
Yes! We suggest air frying the frozen broccoli for 3-4 minutes and then seasoning it with olive oil and seasoning. This will help thaw the broccoli and allow the seasoning to stick to it.
Equipment/Tools Needed
Air Fryer - We suggest getting an air fryer that is bigger than you think you will need. We found once we started using the air fryer, we ended up using it for more meals and larger meals.
Kitchen Tongs - We highly suggest getting a good pair of kitchen tongs to remove items from the air fryer and save your hands from getting burned.
Large Mixing Bowl - We are big fans of this glass batter bowl that has a handle. It makes it easy to mix ingredients and keeps the mixing bowl steady on the counter.
How to make air-fried broccoli
Step 1 - Clean and dry the broccoli. Cut into florets
Step 2 - Toss the broccoli florets in a bowl with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper
Step 3 - Add broccoli florets to the air fryer basket.
Add a tablespoon or 2 of water to the bottom of the air fryer. This will help steam the broccoli while it roasts.
Step 4 - Air fry at 300 degrees. Make sure to shake the basket a couple of times.
Recipe Tips
We do not preheat the air fryer before making this air fryer broccoli recipe.
Cooking times will need to be lowered for each subsequent batch.
Store any leftover roasted broccoli in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Leftovers tend to get a bit soggy, so it is best to enjoy these fresh.
Try to cut the florets into even-sized pieces. This will make sure that tiny pieces do not get overcooked.
